This course is so thoughtfully laid out. It really helps make sense of what emotions are and what to do with them in a simple and practical way. I bought this for my daughter but enjoyed learning with her. Even after finishing the course we’re continuing to use the skills together.
The instructor provided a calm presence that really helped all of us in our family think a little more deeply about our emotions and how we manage them. My daughter already was great about talking about her emotions but found the coping section and how it helped break down the different types of emotions that different coping skills can address so helpful!
These lessons helped open up conversations between my teen and I. It seems like it framed things in a way that made sense to him (unlike my millions of talks trying to get him to open up) and he was able to find ways to apply what he learned quickly! I love that we can have much more of an open dialogue about emotions now and it seems so much more comfortable for him.
