❓Frequently Asked Questions
A quick guide to help you understand what All the Emotions is all about.
About All the Emotions
What is All the Emotions?
All the Emotions is a digital science + emotional wellness platform designed to help children and teens become the boss of their emotions. Through engaging video lessons, activities, and printables, kids learn how to recognize, understand, and manage their emotions using real-world, research-informed strategies.
Who is this for?
Our program is built for families, educators, therapists, and community leaders working with children and youth ages 4–18. We currently offer structured courses for three age groups:
- Ages 4–7
- Ages 8–11
- Ages 12+
What makes this program different?
We combine modern neuroscience, behavioral sciences, and developmental psychology with clinical insights to create a comprehensive emotional learning experience. No bits and pieces of info and tips to piece together yourselves. Our courses build on themselves to create a strong emotional understanding and foundation for lifelong emotional health. Each course is designed to be practical and empowering for kids and the grown-ups who support them.

Yes, depending on their age:
- Ages 4–7: Best with a grown-up
- Ages 8–11: Can be done independently or with light support
- Ages 12+: Designed for self-guided use
📚 Curriculum & Content
Is this a therapy program?
No. All the Emotions is an educational resource, not a therapy replacement. It was created by a licensed therapist to make emotional learning accessible before therapy is even needed—or to work alongside it.
What skills are taught?
Across the program, we teach:
- Emotional recognition and vocabulary
- Mind-body awareness
- Neuroscience Basics
- Empathy and social connection
- Coping strategies across six categories
- Help-seeking and communication skills
Is the content culturally responsive and inclusive?
Yes. Our goal is to help all children feel seen, respected, and safe to explore their emotions. We use inclusive language, diverse visuals, and scenarios relevant to a wide range of kids and families.
Will they be learning the same things in every course?
No. While all of our courses share the same evidence-based philosophy and teaching style, each one is designed with a unique purpose. Each course builds on what came before while introducing new science, new strategies, and new real-world skills.
All the Emotions 101 is our comprehensive emotional intelligence curriculum. It teaches children how emotions work, why they happen, how the brain processes feelings, and the foundational skills needed to recognize, understand, express, and regulate emotions.
Our All About courses then take a much deeper dive into one specific emotion. For example, All About Anxiety focuses on topics like the anxiety cycle, avoidance, uncertainty, brave behavior, exposure, and worry-specific coping strategies that aren't covered in detail in the 101 course. Likewise, All About Grief, All About Anger, and future courses explore the unique science, experiences, and tools related to those emotions.
There are occasional references back to foundational concepts from the 101 course so children can connect new learning to what they already know, but the lessons, activities, and strategies are intentionally designed to expand their understanding—not repeat it.
Think of it like school: learning the alphabet helps you read, but every new book teaches you something different. Each course builds upon a strong foundation while introducing new skills, knowledge, and real-life applications.

✅ When Our Course Can Qualify
Your HSA/FSA provider may approve coverage if:
- 🩺 Clinically connected to a diagnosed mental health condition (e.g., anxiety disorder, ADHD, depression)
- 🎯 Therapeutic focus — designed to build emotional regulation skills, not just provide information
- 🖊 Provider-issued LMN from a licensed therapist, psychologist, or physician that explains:
- The diagnosis
- How the course supports treatment
- Why it is medically necessary
📄 Need Help Getting Approved?
We can provide a Letter of Medical Necessity template for your healthcare provider to complete.
